Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Box Office Collection Day 4 (Early Trends): Surpasses 25 Crores in TN!

Silambarasan’s latest Tamil gangster musical film “Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu” or “VTK” is doing well at the global box office, it opened with double-digit numbers and became the actor’s highest-grossing first day .

However, it took a below average opening in Tamil Nadu, the film was expected to earn double digit numbers in TN alone considering the early bookings and the buzz it created around the film.

Nonetheless, the film is on an upward trend in revenue due to word of mouth and is expected to reach around 35 crore over the weekend.

VTK Early Booking Reports Day 4

After a normal drop in collections on day 2, it accelerated again from Saturday. It had recorded over 1.1L in Day 1 ticket sales and less than 1L in Day 2 ticket sales, which is typical for a mid-week release. Sales increased again for Day 3 as they attracted over 1.17L of tickets.

Much to the surprise of trade experts, VTK saw a slight drop in ticket sales on Sunday, however, the drop was nominal but given that it was Sunday, it should have shown growth instead of decline. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has sold over 1.16L of Day 4 tickets worth Rs 2.07 crores.

VTK Box Office Collection Day 4

Silambarasan’s VTK opened to rave reviews from critics with applause for the actor’s major body transformation, performance, AR Rahman’s music and story. It takes a start of Rs 8.25 crores at the Tamil Nadu box office on Thursday, then clocked in at Rs 4.50 crores on Friday.

The Telugu version of the film (Life of Muthu) was released on Saturday and by trade estimates hit Rs 6 and Rs 5.8 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, at the Tamil Nadu box office. Taking the total TN business in the vicinity of Rs 25 crores.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and revolves around the life of Muthuveeran and his journey from a troubled young man to a feared gangster.

It stars Silambarasan as Muthuveeran aka Muthu and Siddhi Idnani plays the lead role of lead actress opposite him, it also has Raadhika Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav and Delhi Ganesh in key roles.
