English feature film “A Beautiful Breakup” by Ajithvasan Uggina – The musical “Maestro” Ilaiyaraaja will be screened at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 25

It’s a proud moment for Teluguites that two guys from Vizag have made an English film which received two accolades at the 12th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Awards and is set to screen at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival on May 25 at 4pm.

We are talking about the 2022 English romantic thriller – A Beautiful Breakup, written and directed by Ajithvasan Uggina. Starring Krish Mudragada, Matylda in the lead roles, the film has music by 5 time national award winner ‘Maestro’ Ilayaraja.

The first look poster which sees the unique combination of an Indian with a Western girl with suspicions on their faces looks striking. While London-based Krish looks handsome and is set to make a big splash in the industry, Matylda is a marvel here on the bill.

Director Ajithvasan Uggina is a passionate filmmaker with visionary ideas and has over 20 years of industry experience. His last Kannada movie ‘Vaasu Naan Pakka Commercial’ as a director was a big commercial success.

‘Maestro’ Ilaiyaraaja created magical soundtracks at the BOW TIE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA for ‘A Beautiful Breakup’. He also composed a special theme song for this film in the UK performed by an artist, Emily Makis. The ace composer in an interview said that A Beautiful Breakup was a stimulating project. He also praised the director and the film.

A top-notch technical team manipulated different crafts to make it a visual spectacle. The other technical team of the film includes Gunahsekar KR highly experienced for cinematography and Srikanth Gowda for editing (KGF Fame) who is Karnataka State Award Winner, VG Rajen for Sound Effects (KGF Fame) is also a winner of Karnataka State Award and Tapas Nayak and Satish Kumar for Audiography who has an excellent track record in the film industry.

A Beautiful Breakup is a TRILOGY – The cliffhanger climax elevates the experience even further and it intends to leave a viewer eager to see the sequel already.

Coming to the movie synopsis – Sometimes unconditional love pours out when hate grows. Krish and Ruby, unaware of what their fate has in store for them, leave for one last party to celebrate their breakup. Destiny and the destination have a lot to offer. Their fate will now be decided by the invisible.

In addition to winning Best Background Music at the 12th Dadasaheb Phalke Film Festival Awards, A Beautiful Breakup also received the award in the Best Visual Effects (VFX) category for Srikanth Kandaala and was also nominated for Best Picture. It has also won other awards like the Amsterdam International Film Festival and the Toronto Independent Film Festival.

It is a special honor for the team to be at Cannes 2022 and for the film to have its world premiere on May 25 at 4 p.m.
