When Drew Barrymore, an American actress, found out she was Charli D’Amelio’s biggest fan, she decided to contact the TikTok star through her DMs and the two have since become close friends.

Drew Barrymore’s more than 4.8 million followers are on TikTok, and another 15.5 million are on Instagram, making her a social media powerhouse.
Celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Charli D’Amelio have been the subject of Barrymore “fangirls” in interviews with E! News.
Drew Barrymore has entered Charli D’Amelio’s private messaging system (DMS).
Admitting she was a “fangirl” to her in an interview with E! News posted on April 5, 2022, Barrymore admitted to slipping into TikTok DMs.
“I’ve been DMing with Charli D’Amelio, which is so much fun,” Barrymore said. “I am one of his fans.”
Barrymore, who has called herself a “dinosaur with technology” on numerous occasions, admitted she couldn’t help but enjoy slipping into direct messages from someone new.
Asked about the absurdity of being able to reach out to anyone, Drew replied, “It’s crazy that you can reach out to anyone.”
“What do you have to lose? They don’t respond to you? Some of them don’t blame me either, so don’t feel bad!” the 47-year-old said.
