Chadwick Boseman’s wife Simone honors deceased actor at Stand Up to Cancer event, Entertainment News



Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away last year, is honored by his marries Simone Leeward.

During the Stand Up To Cancer telethon on Saturday, the star actor’s widow made an appearance and gave a heartfelt performance remembering her late sweetheart.

‘Black-ish’ star Anthony Anderson who co-hosted the night with Ken Jeong and his wife, Tran Ho, remembered the star and shared a few moving words for the late actor while introducing Simon.

“Many of us were devastated to learn of the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman after battling cancer privately for several years,” Anderson began. “The world has lost an incredible artist and a true hero. But before he was a public figure, he was a person like you or me, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend, a colleague, a husband. Many of us are all too familiar with the divide the death of a loved one leaves in the lives of those who love them. “

“Here, to perform a song about life with the reality of loss and find a way forward, Chadwick’s wife, Simone,” he concluded by introducing Simone, who performed a beautiful performance.

During the event, she performed the emotional ballad “I’ll Be Seeing You” by Eddie Heywood.

Chadwick died on August 28 at the age of 43 after a quiet battle with colon cancer. He was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016.
